Why I like Tautoro School

I love learning at Tautoro School because we get to

play sport with Matua Matt. He teaches us Rugby skills and touch, soccer,Rippa Rugby and hockey. Playing sport is my favourite. I love sport.

I like reading with Mrs Graham and Whaea Hilary.

I like dancing with Whaea Dorothy.

I like learning my spelling words with Whaea Janet.

Recount Writing: At the farm.

I am learning to use the correct structure and language for Recount Writing.

At the farm

On Sunday me and my mum were packing my bag so we can go to Mataraua to stay with my aunty for a sleepover.

When we got there I saw my three aunties. Their names are Maia and Grace and Jamey. I went hunting with my uncle and we took a dog. It was exciting because I hoped we were going to catch a big pig. The dog caught a pig and we had it for dinner. It tasted nice. After dinner we had a shower and we went to bed. When I woke up in the morning my mum said, “We are going home.”

We have been growing plants like carrot tomato and corn courgette beetroot squash sunflower and pumpkin.

We are selling them for market day and I think they will make $500 for our class.

We are also selling shoes and slippers and basil and butternut purple tansy nasturtium bok choy pansy yellow bean and coriander.

We should make more plants to make more money.
